West Cheshire College is to showcase the opportunities available at its Ellesmere Port campus in March.
The event, on Wednesday, March 5, is for anybody looking for advice on their next steps or simply wanting a new challenge.
School leavers looking to do a full-time course or A-levels in September, those considering an apprenticeship, currently working and wanting to improve their skills, or people who are unemployed and looking to get into work, will be able to talk to tutors and the college’s impartial information, advice and guidance team.
The showcase will include information on courses and will give those attending a chance to find out about full-time and part-time courses as well as apprenticeships in a range of subjects.
Employers including Vauxhall Motors, Unilever, Airbus, the Royal Navy, Doubletree Hilton, the Skills for Health Academy, Adecco, Aldi, CLS Care Services and Jobcentre Plus will be on hand to discuss training and employment opportunities.
People looking to study at university will have the chance to speak to representatives from the University of Chester, Manchester Metropolitan University, the University of Lancaster and Manchester College of Law.
Those wanting to study beauty apprenticeships will be able to find out what is on offer at the college.
People can apply for and start an apprenticeship throughout the year and can even apply for one during the event.
People will also be able to find out more about the college’s 2014 Make it Happen Skills Camp.
As part of the campaign, the college aims to help all school leavers and adults who are looking for a job or apprenticeship, support unemployed people to enable them to get the right skills for the workplace and help people in work or volunteers build their skills for promotion or a new job.
Helen Nellist, vice principal at the college, said: “Whatever you are considering for your next steps and whatever position you are currently in, then our showcase event will be a one-stop shop of all the information and guidance you will need.
“Our tutors and students will be on hand to discuss the opportunities we have here at the college and will use interactive activities to show you what it is like to study here.
“The event will also provide entertainment from our students, so it will be a great event for everyone.”
The showcase will run from 3pm to 7pm at the Sutton Way campus.
