NORTH East Wales NHS Trust has scooped a top award at the Welsh Language in Healthcare Awards in Cardiff.
The Trust's redesigned website won the first prize in the publications and websites category of the Awards, which are organised by the Welsh Assembly's Welsh Language
Unit and supported by the Welsh Language Board.
The website has been redesigned over the last year to provide users with easier access to information about Trust hospital and community services.
The site is fully bilingual and offers both Welsh and English
web addresses: www.ymgiggogddcymru.org.uk and www.newalesnhstrust.org.uk.
Web designer Andrew Ward said: 'We are thrilled to receive this award.
'When we started to look at the site we tried to put ourselves in the position of a
patient or visitor and asked ourselves what sort of information they might need.
'We tried to include extra practical advice on how to get referred into our services, what to expect when you come to hospital and travel information to help people find clinics and health centres.'
