AN EVENT in Ellesmere Port has offered help and support to cancer sufferers and their families.
Entitled When cancer cannot be cured, this was the seventh in a series of events organised by the Countess of Chester Hospital.
It was held at the Links Healthy Living Centre, in Civic Square, on Saturday to mark World Hospice and Palliative Care Day.
The day was organised by the Macmillan Information and Support Project from the Countess of Chester and Hos- pice of the Good Shepherd staff.
Liz Taylor, Macmillan infor- mation facilitator, said: “At our event we offered information about palliative care and hospice care and also advised on how to cope when receiving bad news about the disease.”
The next events in this series of health awareness progr- ammes locally are on Novem- ber 8 entitled Living with uncertainty and on December 13 entitled Diet and cancer. All run from 10am until 12 noon.
