About: I live in Chester and I have painted for as long as I can remember. Joining local art classes and workshops meant meeting up with others who not only paint but share our love of art.

My family and I have been fortunate to have lived and worked in New Zealand and Australasia over the past 22 years. Wherever we have lived I have immersed myself in local culture and classes. It's a great way to meet and make friends.

Living in isolated areas such as the Australian Outback, Borneo Malaysia and the Philippines I met, and enjoyed the company of many local artists. In Katherine the Northern Territory of Australia I joined a group of local artists called the loose group. They lived vast distances apart yet managed to hold frequent art exhibitions. In Borneo I attended the local art college located on the very busy Jungle River. I ran the 'Rat-glue Tray' gauntlet in the mornings to get to college.

Living in Darwin I attended Darwin University where, in the good company of Jackaroos, Jillaroos, outback nurses and prison officers - we learnt how to teach.
Following the death of my beloved husband I decided to return to the UK and teach painting. Now here in Chester we paint and share our love of art. That is what it is all about. I am also going to be running workshops at Peckforton Castle soon.
