THE New Saints managing director Mike Harris claims the Welsh Premier outfit are a better side than Wrexham and could hold their own in the Football League.
“I believe we’ve bridged the gap between ourselves and Cardiff, Swansea and Wrexham, and we’ve possibly passed Wrexham,” he said.
“The Welsh Premier Cup has shown we can beat all the top clubs, and we can compete regularly with all of them.”
TNS have won the Welsh Premier four times and were runners-up last year.
Team manager Andy Cale added: “I’d say we’re somewhere around the top of the Conference and the lower half of League Two.”
