A YOUNG mayor’s consort is being sought for Northwich.
Connexions: Cheshire & Warrington Ltd is looking for an outstanding young person aged 13-18 to work alongside the new mayor of Northwich, Cllr Mrs Helen Burder, as her consort.
Cllr Burder said: “I’m really looking forward to working with them. It’s a great opportunity for them to become involved with what goes on in their area and will give us a younger person’s perspective.”
The successful candidate will take part in official duties, fundraising, and will accompany the mayor to events and engagements representing the town.
A selection event will be held at the Venue @ Connexions, in Rudheath. The closing date for applications is June 8.
To be eligible, you must be 13-18, live in or attend school in the Northwich area, be available for the selection day on June 13, be able to attend an official ceremony on June 21, and able to commit one to three days per month, including evenings and weekends.
