A WINSFORD teenager has appeared before magistrates charged with shoplifting and criminal damage.
The 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, admitted both offences at Vale Royal Youth Court on Wednesday.
He had been caught by CCTV in an off-licence in Winsford stealing a £15 box of Foster’s lager and smashing eight bottles as he exited the shop.
The youth is currently subject to a referral order for another criminal damage offence. Magistrates extended the order from three months to six months and fined him £60.
