A WREXHAM man who claimed bags of heroin and crack cocaine hidden in his mouth and backside were for him and his girlfriend was jailed for three years.
Judge John Rogers rejected 33-year-old Darren Humphreys' claim that he wasn't a drug dealer.
Mold Crown Court heard that Humphreys, unemployed, of Y Wern, Wrexham, was a rear passenger in a car stopped by police at Gresford last February.
The drugs were bought in Liverpool and worth nearly £400.
Earlier the same day he had been given a drug treatment and testing order by magistrates.
Humphreys admitted possessing the drugs with intent to supply.
Dismissing his claim that he wasn't a drug dealer, Judge Rogers said there were 42 missed calls on a mobile phone recovered by police and when it rang an officer heard the woman caller say: 'Sammy where have you been? I need a bag of brown and two £20 rocks (referring to drugs).
'Is it OK if I come down now?' The judge said addicts had been waiting for his arrival.
'I'm quite satisfied that this defendant went to Liverpool for the purpose of purchasing drugs to bring them back to Wrexham to sell.'
He had received a four-year prison term previously for drug dealing.
