CARERS who offer help and companionship for elderly people in the borough have been thanked for their hard work and dedication.
Home Instead care service recognised the efforts of its 60-plus staff over the past year during a gathering at its headquarters on Chester Gates Business Park at Dunkirk.
The service was launched in Ellesmere Port and Neston, as well as the Wirral and Chester, back in 2005 by enterprising husband-and-wife team, Trevor and Sam Brocklebank.
Home Instead has since gone from strength to strength with 20 franchises based domestically and more than 700 worldwide.
It provides elderly people with daily visits from caregivers and means they don’t have to move out of their property and into a care home.
During visits, which are a minimum of two hours, carers provide services such as light cleaning, laundry and shopping, as well as taking clients for a walk in the park, or chatting over a pot of tea.
The Home Instead team is matched with clients by the experiences, interests and personality of each caregiver and their services are available 24 hours, seven days a week.
Mr Brocklebank said: “We really appreciate the fantastic efforts of all our caregivers. We are only ever as good as the care we give.”
