PUPILS of The Maelor School were given taste of Army life last Friday.
The school in Penley received a visit from the Army Student Presentation Team, which gave the children a feel for what the Army does and the role of a modern soldier.
Youngsters were also told about the career opportunities and training available.
Captain Matthew Grist showed the pupils a video and presentation and held a question-and-answer session.
Captain Watkins from the Army Recruitment Centre in Wrexham said: 'We aim to teach the children about what the Army does with the civil community, and also the importance of citizenship.
'The pupils were very interested and generated a lot of questions.'
