CELEBRATE the arrival of summer with Wrexham Symphony Orchestra’s Summer Nights concert on Saturday.

The programme at Wrexham’s NEWI William Aston Hall includes Vaughan- Williams’ The Lark Ascending.

The violin solo is played by Wrexham violinist Sam Aylward, a member of the Hallé Orchestra who also played with the Wrexham Symphony Orchestra as a teenager.

The piece was voted number one in the Classic FM Hall of Fame twice.

The orchestra will also be joined on stage by singer Rebecca Afonwy-Jones.

The orchestra play at NEWI William Aston Hall on Saturday at 7.30pm. Tickets on the door, £9/£5. Free child with each paying adult.
