TWO dozen schoolchildren escaped without injury this morning after the school bus they were travelling on was in collision with a tanker.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the incident in Cheswardine shortly after 8.30 this morning.
Following the initial call a large amount of resources were dispatched to the scene; six ambulances, the Urban Search and Rescue Team (USAR), a station manager, the County Air Ambulance from Cosford and a doctor were sent to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said “On arrival of the first vehicle at scene it quickly became apparent that there were no injuries and any resources that were not required were stood down.
“The crew on scene assessed all the pupils on the school bus and the drivers of both vehicles; luckily no-one suffered any injuries.”
