NOT content with simply making calls and collecting donations, Save the Family’s newest recruit Angella Rawsthorne plans to take on any fundraising challenge that comes her way.
The homelessness charity’s new fundraising officer is already limbering up for her first activity – the Wirral Walk.
The 35-year-old and colleague Yvette Gillott will set off on the sponsored 15-mile coastal walk on May 17, to raise funds for the charity, which provides training and support for homeless families throughout the North West.
The pair are training hard for the event, which stretches from Seacombe Ferry to Thurstaston Country Park and are appealing for anyone else who may want to join or sponsor them.
A fundraiser for more than 10 years, Angella said: “I’m really excited about my new role and the challenges that await me. I’ve got endless ideas up my sleeve and can’t wait to put them into action.”
