A REUNION of old friends from Ellesmere Port took attendees on a trip through the decades.
On Friday they piled into the Phoenix Club, Cromwell Road, Ellesmere Port, for a party with a soundtrack that featured songs from the 1950s, 60s and 70s.
Diane Chambers, who organised the gathering with husband Tom, said: “It went very well and a lot of our friends and members of the Ellesmere Port old and new group attended and we hope to make this a yearly event.”
Paul Harrison, who runs the Facebook group Ellesmere Port old and new, provided disco music from the time the friends grew up.
Diane added: “We both grew up in Ellesmere Port, but moved away in 1972. We were also spurred on by the fact that three of our friends have died this year alone in the past few months so as we are both nearer 70 than 60 we decided this might be the last chance for a lot of people to meet up.”
