RECORD crowds along with famous faces attended the world's biggest one-day agricultural event yesterday .
More than 30,000 packed into the 105th Nantwich and South Cheshire Show which featured more than 2,000 exhibits - all aiming to boost the flagging rural economy.
The event at Dorfold Hall Park, Nantwich, also hosted the Nantwich International Agricultural Cheese Show, the biggest in the world.
More than 90 professional judges will decide the winners in more than 100 competitive classes.
Celebrity judge in the Cathedral City Cheese Lover's Trophy was Carley Stenson, (Steph Dean in Hollyoaks).
After sampling more than 50 cheeses, Carley chose a white Stilton with mango and ginger produced by Long Clawson Dairies, a farmers' co-operative in Leicestershire.
TV chef Clarissa Dickson Wright opened a food hall of 200 exhibitors from the British food industry.
