DETECTIVES investigating a robbery in Ellesmere Port have released e-fits of men suspected of ramming a woman driver off the road before stealing her purse.

At about 3.45pm on Friday, October 14, police were called to an incident on the A5117 at its junction with the A41 near Cheshire Oaks, Ellesmere Port.

The victim, a 32-year-old local woman, was driving her silver Renault Mégane along the A5117 when the black Toyota Celica, with the two men in, forced her vehicle off the road with a minor collision.

As the woman got out of the car to examine the damage, she was assaulted by one of the men who then stole her handbag from the car. The men then fled the scene with the bag.

The victim sustained injuries to her face but did not require hospital treatment.
