WELL I never thought I’d see Mimi from Shameless having a heart-to-heart with Michael Jackson’s sister, LaToya.
Or rapper Coolio making a cup of tea for Ulrika Johnson.
But it’s that time of the year again, when dried up stars go into meltdown and Z-listers get another 15 minutes of fame.
It is, of course, Celebrity Big Brother.
Give them their due, the producers have done quite well this year in attracting a couple of big names, although the number of nobodies remains bafflingly high.
On the positive side, Tina Malone looks more than capable of creating a few fireworks, just like she does on the Chatsworth Estate.
And given the nature of the Channel 4 comedy she may have empathy for mum-of-four (by four different men) Ulrika.
Speaking of Sven’s ex, if she manages to survive the first eviction and gets over the predictable “I want to leave” jitters that appear to be brewing then she will surely spark many an argument in the house, which can only be good for us.
I like Verne Troyer (or Mini-Me from the Austin Powers films) with his dry sense of humour and Lucy Pinder is a very welcome sight when you’ve got Mutya’s numerous piercings and tattoos plastered on the screen.
But on the downside, we’ve got a former boyband bore whose most recent claim to fame is working with X Factor winner Alexandra, and the “misunderstood” one from Liberty X. Oh and some bloke called Tommy!
