CUSTOMERS at two Wetherspoons’ pubs in Mid Cheshire can now enjoy a pint of beer and raise funds for a children’s cancer charity at the same time.
The Penny Black pub, on Wittin Street, Northwich and The Queens Arms on Dene Drive in Winsford are serving an exclusive real ale, Fools Gold, with 10p from the sale of each pint going directly to CLIC Sargent, a charity which helps children with cancer and their families.
Northwich pub manager Roger Cazaly said: “Real ale is very popular at the pub and I’m sure that our customers will enjoy a pint of Fools Gold and welcome the opportunity to support an excellent charity too.”
The beer, brewed by Shardlow Brewery, is described as a “smooth golden ale” and has an abv (alcohol by volume) of 4.5%. It will be on sale until Monday, June 29.
