WOOLWORTHS has chosen Northwich e-commerce specialist The Hut Group to run its entertainment shop as part of its online re-launch.
The Hut Group, based at Gadbrook Park in Rudheath, will manage woolworthsentertainment.co.uk - the section of the new Woolworths site dedicated to entertainment products - ensuring customers receive games, DVDs, CDs, Blu Ray and books at competitive prices, all with free UK delivery.
The Woolworths brand, bought by Shop Direct owners the Barclay brothers earlier this year, will not re-open its stores and has instead embraced an online business strategy. Woolworths’ online-only product range moves the business away from general merchandise and homeware to concentrate on entertainment products, children’s clothes and gifts, and its Ladybird clothing range.
Dominic Starkey, head of e-commerce at The Hut Group, says, “Woolworths is an established brand that is recognised throughout Britain. This year marks Woolworths’ 100th year in the retail industry, so we’re proud to be part of the brand’s revival and enable the business to offer the products that it is famous for.
“Our white label service will ensure Woolworths provides an excellent customer experience, from searching and browsing for products to the physical delivery of goods.”
