THE Nightingale House Hospice charity shop in Cefn Mawr will be closed for about three weeks.
It had been planned to close the shop in the summer to allow remedial building work to be undertaken following a water leak, however, following a reassessment of the problem, it has now been deemed necessary to bring that work forward.
During this period of closure, which began on May 13, the hospice is asking anyone who has items of clothing, bric-a-brac or furniture to donate to call the hospice distribution centre on 01978 262589 to make arrangements for its collection.
The Cefn Mawr shop is one of four successful local charity shops in the area run by the hospice.
Its other shops are in Buckley, Rhos and Brook Street in Wrexham, and it also runs a furniture shop in Rhos and has a distribution centre in Rhosnesni Lane.
The hospice has recently appointed two part-time managers to help run its shops.
