NIGHTINGALE House Hospice is urging the public to help it ride the credit crunch by going ‘yellow’ this June.
As part of its ‘Go Yellow’ campaign, it is asking people to organise a yellow-themed fundraising event, such as asking friends to eat or bake something yellow.
The campaign launches at Eagles Meadows on May 30 and 31 with numerous stalls, goodies and the chance to win £10,000 by playing the hospice’s new Go Yellow Tea Time Cash Giveaway Grid Game.
‘Go Yellow’ is part of The National Hospice Awareness Campaign promoted throughout the UK to raise vital funds for local hospices; Nightingale House takes part every year and this year needs your help more than ever to reach their funding goals for this year.
The hospice provides specialist palliative care services, completely free-of-charge, to patients and their families across a wide area. This year alone, it will cost £2.55mto run the hospice, this equates to £7,000 per day.

Those events registered before May 22 will be invited to join the local Mayors at the Nightingale House Hospice Garden Party on June 3.
