A WOMAN suffered facial injuries when she was mugged in broad daylight.
The 53-year-old victim was walking towards Northwich town centre in London
Road when she was pushed up against the arches by a man who stole £100 in cash before running off in the direction of Vickersway Park with an accomplice.
She suffered a bruised and grazedcheekbone as a result of being pushed up against the wall.
Police are are keen to receive more information about the offenders.
The first attacker was 5ft 8ins tall, of medium build, wore a beige jacket and combat trousers and was possibly called Paul.
His accomplice wore dark clothing but no further description is available as the victim was unable to get a clear look at him.
'We are keen to hear from anybody who may have witnessed the offence or seen two possible offenders in the London Road area at about 3.30 on Wednesday,

POLICE are hunting a bag-snatcher who targeted an 88-year-old woman.
The elderly victim was at a pedestrian crossing on Chester Way when her bag, which contained about £60 in cash, was snatched on Tuesday last week.
The thief cycled off towards Rudheath.
Police are appealing for witnesses and looking for a white man aged about 19 who wore a red and black padded jacket and woolly hat. If he was not involved they would like him to come forward so he can be eliminated from inquiries.
