ANOTHER parking case relating to the new Eagles’ Meadow development has been taken up by Wrexham Labour MP Ian Lucas.
Mr Lucas has already met residents and spoken at a tenants’ group in Smithfield about concerns relating to parking at the development, which is due to open in the Autumn.
He has now also been contacted by a clothes store, Ragazzi, which is having problems with contractors taking up parking spaces outside.
Mr Lucas will be writing to both Eagles’ Meadow development company Wilson Bowden and Wrexham council to highlight the issue and to ask for action to be taken.
He said: “The store contacted me as they are having difficulties with the parking outside their shop and have not had a helpful response so far.
“I believe those working at the site need to be more sensitive to the requirements of local businesses and that the council need to look once more at the parking issues in the area.
“This is yet another case where parking issues are linked to the Eagles’ Meadow development.
“I believe the development is one we should all be proud of and that it is good for Wrexham.
“However, I also believe this should not blind us to issues which may arise as a result. I have already written to the council leader to stress this – and will do so once again.”
