CHILDREN at Black Lane Primary School gave a cracking Christmas performance when they took to the stage for their festive productions.

Infants acted out a contemporary piece of drama entitled It's a Cracker based on Christmas tradition and the nativity story.

Tots in the early years group performed a play called Snowman at Sunset, which was all about snow and the tradition of a white Christmas, while the junior classes put on their very own production of Jack and the Beanstalk.

Headteacher Paul Givelin said: 'All the children did really well and we are very pleased.'
