AFTER a year of small fundraising projects, the 1123 Hooton Park Squadron has donated a cheque for £850 to a children’s hospital appeal.
Irene Axon, fundraising manager for Alder Hey’s Imagine Appeal visited the squadron to collect the cheque from Cadets Kim Noonan and Sam Preston.
Flt Lt Paul Knight thanked all the cadets for their hard work in collecting the cash.
He also thanked Asda in Ellesmere Port for allowing cadets to carry out a bag-packing exercise with the shoppers, and also thanked the Port Arcades for donating a prize to one of their raffles.
Flt Lt Knight added: “Although it was hard work, the cadets enjoyed taking part in the fundraising and are now looking forward to their next challenge.”
