A RACEHORSE, which helps raise cash for Nightingale House in memory of its owner’s aunt, is racing at Corbett’s sponsored meet at Chester Races on August 30.
In a possible win-win situation, the racehorse Supermassive Muse owned by Nick Hughes from Rossett, is running in The corbettcasino.com Handicap Stakes at 2.20pm.
And 10% of any owner’s prize money won by Supermassive is pledged to the hospice in memory of Nick’s Aunt Sandra who passed away at Nightingale House last year.
“My family and I were so grateful for all the personal and caring treatment Auntie Sandra received from all the staff during such a difficult period,” said Nick.
“Because of this, all my family are active fundraisers for the hospice as we believe it is such an important asset to the local community. It is also something close to our hearts. Just before passing away, I asked Sandra to pick the jockey colours for my horse, so every time Supermassive runs, it is a special reminder of Sandra and what a fantastic auntie, sister and daughter she was to all the family.”
Supermassive Muse recently won two races, the first at Bath last year and then the second at Haydock this year.
