Pupils at The Maelor School, Penley, have again produced an outstanding set of GCSE results this year.

In total, 78% of year 11 gained at least five or more A*-C grades and nearly two-thirds achieved eight or more higher grades.

Headteacher Eiddwyn Hall was delighted.

“Our congratulations must go to all of our pupils who have again achieved outstanding results.

“I am particularly pleased that all of our pupils gained a qualification with 99% of them attaining five or more GCSEs and a significant number gaining 12 or more higher grades. This is a credit to all the hard work put in by pupils and staff that has resulted in a tremendous achievement.”
