CHANGES are afoot for Wrexham's industrial heritage as Bersham Ironworks and the Minera Lead Mines prepare to welcome visitors to learn of the industrial legacy of the area.
Over the winter, staff have been busy making improvements and are looking forward to welcoming visitors in the spring and summer seasons.
A grant from the Regeneration Fund has allowed new entrance signs to be erected at Bersham Iron-works and funding from the Council of Museums in Wales has led to the development of an audio tour at Minera, which has been specifically designed to aid visitors with a visual impairment.
Both sites will be open every day, except Tuesdays and Wednesdays, until Sunday, April 18; and then again in the summer from Saturday, July 17, to Tuesday, August 31, from noon-5pm. For more information call 01978 261529.
