NEW parents are invited to pick up useful tips on how to give their tiny tots a healthy start in life.

Babies First Bites is a free course run by NHS Western Cheshire and Cheshire West and Chester Council.

It provides parents with practical support and advice on how to tempt their baby to eat a variety of nutritious food.

The course will take place at the Links Healthy Living Centre, Civic Way, for two weeks every month.

It is open to mums and dads with a baby aged between 16 and 26 weeks who live in the Ellesmere Port area.Š

The course focuses on encouraging parents to introduce solid foods once their baby is six months old, alongside continued breastfeeding. It aims to show parents how to provide home-cooked meals suitable for their child and the whole family, without the addition of salt, sugar or honey.

The programme starts on Thursday, March 15, from 12.45pm-2.45pm and continues the following week.ŠMore dates are planned later in the year.

If you would like to talk to someone about the course or book a place, please call the Links Healthy Living Centre on 0151 356 6970.
