FORMER football club chairman Mike Worthington has forged a crucial link for businesses across the borough with a newly established Chamber of Commerce.
West Cheshire Chamber of Commerce, which will cover Ellesmere Port & Neston, Vale Royal and Chester, has been created to help businesses work together and beat the economic gloom.
It aims to build a strong, positive business focal point within the new Cheshire West and Chester Council (CWAC) district, which came into being on Wednesday, April 1.
Mr Worthington, former Witton Albion chairman, said: “With the present economic outlook presenting a difficult 2009, this new Chamber, I believe, has come just at the right time.
“By creating a strong Chamber membership which represents all business sectors, we can work together for a brighter future.”
There is a full calendar of events for 2009 to give all businesses the opportunity to network.
Services will cover every- thing from start-up advice to training, skills and employment.
