FUN-RUNNERS from in and around Ellesmere Port joined a giant flock of 300 yellow chicks in the Clatterbridge Cancer Research Chick Run on Sunday.
Fundraisers paired fluffy outfits with trainers to complete the 5km run around Birkenhead Park and play their part in the fight against cancer.
One of the youngest to complete was six-month-old April Sanderson, of Parkgate, who was pushed in her pram by her mum – accompanied by her own little chicks.
Clatterbridge Cancer Research needs to raise more than £2m each year to continue vital research. Funds raised from the Chick Run will go to research cancers which are most prevalent in Cheshire and Merseyside.
