A 65-YEAR-OLD man's body was found hanging in the grounds of Overpool Cemetery.
Reginald Ravenscroft, of Moelwyn Drive, Ellesmere Port, was discovered by a member of the public at 8.30am on Thursday.
A Cheshire Police spokeswoman said: “There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident and HM Coroner has been informed.”
The grim discovery follows a number of suicides in Ellesmere Port since the turn of the year.
Back in January, Stuart Roy Lester, 38, of Horstone Gardens, Great Sutton, was discovered decapitated in the car park of Ellesmere Port market.
The body of Mark Steven Price, 51, of Hillfields Road, Little Sutton, was found on parkland off Station Road, Neston, in March.
And last month, Arthur Tolley, 22, of Wolverham Road, was found dead in Cressington Gardens, Ellesmere Port.
There were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the deaths.
Chester and District Samaritans say anyone who is in distress or is worried about somebody can talk to them in confidence.
A spokeswoman for the charity said: “If you are concerned about somebody or feel it would help you to talk to someone, Samaritans can offer emotional support to those in distress or contemplating suicide.
“Samaritans believe that offering to listen in confidence and acceptance without judgement can be helpful.
“You can call any time night or day on 01244 377999 or 08457 90 90 90.
“If you would prefer to talk to someone face to face then the Chester branch is open to visitors from 10am to 10pm each day.”
