A WREXHAM lorry driver was taken to hospital after his fuel truck rolled onto its side on a hairpin bend.
Peter Lodge, 23, was driving the Wirral Fuels transporter along the A494 at Tan yr Unto in Llandbedr DC on the way to Ruthin.
He was cut from the wreckage by firefighters and taken to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd for treatment to minor injuries.
The road was blocked for five hours and nearby residents were evacuated while emergency services made sure the vehicle was moved safely.
'We have launched a full investigation into this incident,' said Wirral Fuels manager Sandra Morris.
'We cannot comment further except to say that this was Peter's regular route. He has not been with the company long. He is safe and not badly hurt. Wirral Fuels has not had a previous accident at this spot. We have very few accidents - in my 21 years with this company this is the first one I have known.'
