WREXHAM store Peacocks has scooped an award for prompt and effective use of Crimelink radios.
Wrexham Crimelink is a Business Crime Reduction Partnership, which has a membership of around 150 shops, cafes, pubs and other town centre services, who share information on criminal and anti-social activities via a radio link. The work is supported by Wrexham CCTV and North Wales Police.
This was the first in a new series of monthly awards.
Peacocks was commended by Crimelink for its quick reaction to an incident in the store, which resulted in a swift arrest by the town centre community beat managers.
