ELLESMERE Port and Neston Conservative Association has launched a branch of Conservative Future for the constituency with a visit of Shadow Secretary of State for Northern Ireland Owen Paterson.
The Conservative Future Branch is aimed at members of the party aged under 30.
Throughout the course of the evening Mr Paterson, MP for North Shropshire, was introduced to about 40 members of the party and spent some time discussing his current role in the Shadow Cabinet and the Conservatives’ progress on a national level.
Following the event, Conservative Future chairman Lee D Evans said: “I am delighted that Owen could join us for our launch event and that we had the support of so many members of the party – who have helped us raise almost £400 this evening.
“Up and down the country, Conservative Future branches are making valuable contributions to the Conservative Party and I am sure this branch will play a valuable role in helping borough Parliamentary candidate Stuart Penketh become our next MP.”
