NANT Mill in Coedpoeth had some welcomed but unexpected visitors.

Two kestrel chicks decided to leave the nest early and explore the picnic area.

Initially rangers were worried for their safety and kept an eye on them for three days. Birdwatchers also descended onto the park to watch their antics as they sat on the park wall and called to their parents to be fed.

Another three chicks have now fledged and the family are now safely back in the woods.
