SHOOTING stars from Llangollen Operatic Society's Young 'Uns are performing Bugsy Malone this week.
The well-loved musical is based on the film set among the American mobs of the late 1920s during the Prohibition period.
It is written for children and young people, and more than 40 youngsters from the Society have been busy rehearsing their roles as would-be hoodlums and show girls.
Audiences can enjoy the slapstick comedy as the splurge guns are fired and custard pies thrown, while the score by Paul Williams features the hits My Name is Tallulah and You Give A Little Love.
Bugsy Malone is played by Ross Wilson, Blousey Brown by Loren Barnett, Tallulah by Bethan Mascarenhas and Fizzy by Charlotte Davies.
The show is produced by Deirdre Smith, directed by Paul Keddie and the musical director is David Smith.
It is on at Llangollen Town Hall today (Thursday), tomorrow and Saturday at 7.30pm.
Tickets are available from the Llangollen Tourist Information Centre, which is on 01978 860828; Jade's Hairdressers in Llangollen; or by calling secretary Stella Bond on 01978 860441. They are £4 for adults and £2.50 for concessions.
