LLANGEFNI and Caernarfon, who meet tonight in the Loosemores’ Cup just a week after their Welsh Premier clash, will both delay team selections until late on.
Llangefni, who won their cup opener at Porthmadog 2-1 last month but are still looking to bank their first league points, expect to have 17 of their 19 squad members on standby.
Farai Jackson will resume in goal, replacing Simon Williams, while an injury check will be made on Kevin Lloyd.
Also in contention are Adrian Jones, Sion Parry, Mike Parry and Richard Hughes, but captain Graham Austin is still injured.
Caernarfon will go into action minus six players, notably keeper Vinnie Whelan and striker Paul Addo, who are banned.
Captain Eifion Jones and James Glendenning are injured, while Tim Ojapah and Leyton Maxwell have work demands.
Call-ups will go to Dave Ojapah, Gwyn Peters, Khyle Sampson, Kevin McGarry and Mark Harris.
Canaries’ manager Steve O’Shaughnessy said: “Despite all the withdrawals we have got the number of players we want, but any reshuffle will involve some lads having to play out of position.”
Counterpart Adie Jones said: “We are not far off from getting things right because our displays are improving. What we aim for is a clean-sheet at the back and a bit of luck up front.”
Last week’s league meeting saw Caernarfon win 2-1 as Llangefni spurned chances.
