FIREFIGHTERS in Winsford were called out three times on Wednesday after yobs started a series of blazes.
Rubbish was set alight on New Road at 2.15am and the contents of a skip were torched at 7.50pm on Esk Road on the Wharton estate.
Firefighters were also called out to Cleveland Way at 3.20pm after rubbish was set ablaze, but the flames were already out when they arrived.
A car burst into flames on Darnhall School Lane at 5.30pm on Wednesday. A fire service spokeswoman said the blaze was caused by the engine overheating. No one was hurt.
