A BANNED driver who took a risk and drove from Flint to Wrexham to get his children's clothes has been jailed for four months.
Johnathan Brian Williams, 34, of Ernest Parry Road in Wrexham, had moved into the Plas Bellin Hostel at Oakenholt.
But on March 8, he drove from the hostel to Wrexham and back and when interviewed by police, he said he had to get the children's clothes and it was 'a chance I had to take.'
To make matters worse, the conviction put him in breach of a suspended prison sentence for an earlier charge of driving while disqualified, for which he received an additional five months, making nine in all.
Flintshire Magistrates Court was told that the Renault Laguna he had driven was his own - he had bought it off his wife's father.
