AN ELLESMERE Port company has paid £250 towards an event in memory of a tragic toddler.

Oliver Newnes, of Whitby, was just two when he died of a rare brain abscess.

Since then his parents Barbara and Craig have worked to raise money for the two hospitals that cared for their son - the baby wards at the Countess of Chester and Alder Hey in Liverpool.

As part of the couple’s fundraising efforts, a charity golf day was organised in the town. And chemicals company Innospec Ltd in the Port donated £250 to part sponsor the event.
