TALENTED youngsters from Bitesize Youth Theatre's Singing Group have had news that's music to their ears.
The successful songsters have made it through to the final of the prestigious Musical Theatre Young Singers of the Year competition for the second year running.
The group of 24 seven-15 year olds will perform a medley from the Andrew Lloyd
Webber musical Cats while they will be represented in the duets final by Jessica Young and Isabella Crowther.
The final of the competition will be held at the Rhyl Pavilion Theatre on Saturday and family and friends will be going along in support.
The competition, which has Welsh opera star Bryn Terfyl and local girl turned profes-
sional singer Lydia Griffiths as its patrons, aims to en-courage youngsters to explore the art of singing, building vocal skills in a fun way and meeting new friends.
Finalists will get the chance to perform at the Millennium Centre and the winners will record their songs in a professional studio.
This year, hundreds of children entered the competition and the group from Bitesize
are really looking forward to appearing on the main stage at the Pavilion.
Artistic director Linda Griffiths said: 'It's going to be a tough competition so we're just going to have fun and do our best.' nIf you would like to see the Musical Theatre Young Sing-ers of the Year competition, tickets can be booked at the Rhyl pavilion Box Office on 0870 330 00 00.
