TWENTY-TWO NHS workers have been honoured after clocking-up a total of 539 years’ service between them.
The staff, from Cheshire & Wirral Partnership NHS Trust, range from healthcare scientists to consultants, admin staff, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, pharmacists and support staff.
At the same awards ceremony, held at Ellesmere Port’s Holiday Inn, seven were handed certificates for completing job-related qualifications including First Aid at Work, Promoting Independence (Level 3) and European Computer Driving Licence.
Trust chairman David Eva said: "We are committed to developing staff members, whether it’s for their own personal or professional development, in order to prepare them to move into other roles. It leads to a better-trained workforce who are happier in their jobs, which has a positive impact on patient care.
“It was a privilege to be able to present these awards to staff who have dedicated their lives to caring for patients.
“Over the years they have tirelessly used their skills for the benefit of thousands of people in Ellesmere Port, Wirral and Chester.”
