POLICE have renewed their appeal for information six months after a young man was found lying in the road suffering from devastating injuries.
Greg Vickers, 23, remains seriously ill at Wrexham Maelor Hospital as a result of the catastrophic injuries he received in the early hours of Friday, September 16 last year.
So far, he has been unable to communicate how he received his injuries. Despite numerous appeals for witnesses and a number of people coming forward, mystery still surrounds what happened to him.
Mr Vickers was with friends in Wrexham town centre and in the early hours took a taxi to Huntsmans Corner, Borras, Wrexham, where he was due to meet up with more friends.
He never turned up and was found lying unconscious in the road at Huntsmans Corner at approximately 3.30am.
His movements between 2am and 3.30am are still unknown.
Detective inspector Neill Anderson from Wrexham CID said: 'Police have conducted a painstaking inquiry. However,
despite a number of people coming forward with information, there are still no witnesses to what happened.
'Greg has no enemies and is a popular individual who was enjoying a promising career with the RAF. This incident has had a devastating effect on his family who still don't know how he came to receive these injuries.'
