You might spot the world famous Red Arrows over Chester this weekend as the flying acrobatics troupe head to an eagerly-anticipated display at Blackpool Pleasure Beach.

The team will use Hawarden airport as their base, jetting in at 3.25pm on Saturday before departing for the seaside town at 6.15pm.

According to the RAF, its popular aerobatic team will then arrive back at Hawarden at 7.02pm before leaving to go home to Scampton in Lincolnshire – the former base of the Dambusters – at 1pm the following day.

The 20-minute display on Saturday will take place above the Pleasure Beach from 6.30pm.

The Red Arrows are due to perform in North Wales on August 28 when they take to the skies for the Rhyl Air Show.
