A HOMELESS woman, accused of murdering a 54-year-old man who was found stabbed at a Chester flat, has been refused bail.
Christine Holleran, 50, appeared at Preston Crown Court on Thursday (December 27) after being charged with the murder of Andrew Mackenzie Nall.
Mr Nall, known locally as ‘Scottish Andy’, was discovered dead at his Eversley Park home off Liverpool Road, Chester, on Friday, August 31.
Holleran, who gave her address as Manor Hotel, Edge Lane, Liverpool, was refused bail following a hearing before Judge Stuart Baker and remanded in custody until January 7, when she is set to appear at Chester Crown Court.
Mr Nall’s body was found following an assault on a homeless man in a subway near the city’s Fountain’s roundabout shortly before 5pm on the same day.
On Monday, December 17, Gary Anthony George, 41, of Crispin House in Nicholas Street, pleaded not guilty to the murder of Mr Nall and grievous bodily harm with intent against Brian James Reilly, of no fixed abode.
George was remanded in custody and is due to stand trial at Chester Crown Court on March 4 next year.
