Two men have been charged following a robbery at Port Wines off-licence in Ellesmere Port.

Terrence Roberts, 37, of no fixed abode, will appear at Chester Magistrates Court today (October 17) charged with robbery and possession of an offensive weapon.

Kenneth Lee Brown, 52, also of no fixed abode, appeared in court charged with armed robbery on October 14 and has been remanded in custody.

Two men wearing balaclavas entered the shop on Hope Farm Precinct at around 9pm on Thursday, October 9.

The pair threatened staff with a knife and handgun before making off on foot with cash from the till.

The investigation is ongoing and Cheshire police are asking for anyone with any information to come forward.
