BEER enthusiasts will be able to enjoy up to 35 real ales from across the world during a 20-day festival at two pubs in Chester.
The beers on offer at The Square Bottle in Foregate Street and The Forest House in Love Street, have been sourced from brewers in New Zealand, Canada (The Yukon), Australia, Finland, USA, Holland, Belgium and Germany (Bavaria), as well as across the UK.
The festivals will feature award-winning ales, speciality, seasonal and fruit beers, together with beers brewed exclusively for the pubs.
They will run from Wednesday, April 15 until Monday, May 4 inclusive, with all beers priced at £1.69 a pint.
The overseas beers on sale are: Epic Pale Ale (New Zealand), Yukon Lead Dog Ale (Canada), Barons Bush Berry Porter (Australia), Sinebrychoff (Finland), Bend Brewing Blue Yonder (USA), Flying Dutchman Witbier (Holland), Palm Steenbrugge Blond (Belgium) and St Georgenbrau Keller Bier (Germany).
The UK beers will include: Raspberry Fool (Caledonian), Nosey Parker (Robinsons), Silver Adder (Mauldons), Cornish Mutiny (Wooden Hand), Sting in the Tail (Arundel), Hunny Trap (Skinners), Spin Doctor (Hydes), Cooper’s Butt (Theakston) and Hopping Mad (JW Lees).
Customers will be able to sample any three of the real ales in special third-of-a-pint glasses for the price of a pint.
Lee Thelwell, manager of The Square Bottle, said: “The festival will give people the opportunity to enjoy a superb selection of UK and international beers.
“The majority of the beers on offer have not been available in the pub beforehand and I am looking forward to serving them.
“The festival promises to be great fun and I am certain that my customers will enjoy themselves.”
Tasting notes on all the beers will be available in the pubs.
