Tributes have been paid to a nine-year-old boy who died at the scene of a collision close to Elton yesterday afternoon (July 31).
Jaiden Gill, from Benchill, Wythenshawe, died after a blue Ford Focus overturned on the A5117, close to Hapsford Services.
He was sitting in the front passenger seat.
A 15-year-old boy and a 42-year-old man, who have not been named, were also travelling in the car and remain in hospital.
Tributes to Jaiden have been posted on social media sites after news of the tragedy broke.
One family member posted on Facebook: “RIP to my little cousin Jaiden, words cant describe how I feel right now I’m broken.
“You went in a quick way so sad you are gone it will be so different without you. You are gonna be gone but will never be forgotten love you little dude.”
Chronicle readers have also paid their own tributes to Jaiden online.
Rachel Zan wrote on our Facebook page: "RIP young boy, taken too soon. Thoughts are with his family."
Tina Gill added: "Thoughts and prayers go out to his family, RIP wee man."
Pamela Jones said: "How very sad. Thoughts are with your family and friends. God bless you little man."
Sharon Hayes was also among the many readers to pass on their condolences, writing: "My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this very sad time. RIP little man, god bless you."
Emergency services were called to the collision, close to junction 14 of the M56, just before 4pm.
Cheshire Police are now appealing for any witnesses or anybody with further information to get in touch.
