A man offered a teenager a lift home but instead subjected her to a terrifying sexual assault.

The 18-year-old was walking along the A556 near to the Blue Bridge in Northwich between 6am and 6.45am on Saturday, November 12, when a black hatchback-style car pulled over and the man behind the wheel told her he would drive her home.

She accepted and he continued to drive along the A556 before turning right on to Hartford Road, then left on to London Road at the junction near to the Oddfellows Arms in Davenham.

But as the vehicle approached the Davenham Roundabout, the man pulled over at the side of London Road and sexually assaulted her.

He told her she could not leave until she slept with him.

Thankfully, the victim managed to escape and fled the scene, sustaining bruising and scratches as she exited the car.
